Melina R. Singh, Ph.D.
I am a Teacher-Scholar Postdoctoral Fellow and Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology at Kenyon College (2024-2026). Irene López and Margaret Stevenson are my faculty mentors.
I received my B.A. in Criminology, Law and Society from the University of California, Irvine and my Ph.D. in Social Psychology with an emphasis in Feminist Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. My graduate advisor was Heather Bullock.
My research examines how attitudes and beliefs about low-income women and mothers are reflected in reproductive health policies and practices, with implications for economic well-being, bodily autonomy, and criminalization.
